Dear Parents,
We are very excited to continue our last unit in Social Studies! We are going to do this a little bit differently and make it a learning experience we hope will be exciting, fun, and unforgettable! We are calling it A Knight to Remember. Here’s how it will work: Students will go back in time to see what life was like during the Middle Ages. We will study and complete activities along the way. We will complete the activities while living the positions of Medieval Life. 5/15--5/19 Knight/Lady -Make timeline of Middle Ages -Research Chivalry in class -Make a shield -Make Castle in class 5/22—5/26 King/Queen -Rule the roost -Design your family crest We think this will be a great learning experience for your 6th grader! Each day that something is required at home, a paper will come home asking for your signature that your child completed the assignment. Your student’s grade will be based on how well they completed each level. We plan on going to the park on May 26 for our “Day at the Market.” We will be bartering, playing games, etc. If you are interested in helping with this day, please let us know.
