It was a dark night the evening of the eclipse. It was so dark, I managed to walk right into our wrought iron patio chair that was in the middle of the lawn as I was heading toward the telescope to view the lunar eclipse. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to view it at all from my headlong dive onto the lawn. Lesson learned: Never pick a fight with patio furniture. It will be victorious.
All this to say, I will be having surgery to repair my clavicle tendon as well as a plate put in to stabilize my collarbone on Friday, Feb. 1st. Consequently I will be out of the classroom from Feb 1st to President's day (if all goes well). We are doing our best to make sure there will only be two substitutes in the classroom during this time to maintain consistency.
I will NOT be available during SEP conferences. Those of you who have scheduled conferences already, please be aware that I will be recovering from my surgery at that time. I will scheduling a half day substitute when I return in order to hold conferences. I will let you know soon as possible which day this will be. Thank you for your patience during my recovery.
Mrs. Sesera will be teaching the math lessons during this time to allow for continued quality of instruction. (Thank Goodness!) I am very grateful for a teaching partner that is willing to help out.
Please feel free to email me or Dr. Lorentzon with any concerns during this time. I will do my best to respond to emails after February 6th. Again, thank you so much for your support! Mrs. Anna Kendall
